From Buster with Love

Hi everyone!

We have had such a great time having Buster as part of our family! He has been smothered with love, been a magnet for all at the kid's school, jumped deer, and even taken on our neighbor's horse like it was no big deal that the horse is a gazillion times bigger than him.

Buster has been fabulous! He's settled in to playing rough with Carl, giving lots of love to Emma, and being a gentle friend to Donovan. To say the kids love him doesn't begin to explain the impact he's had on us. Emma and Carl are even getting up earlier in the morning just to have time with him in before school.

He seems happy and is growing. He weighed in at 15 lbs last week. He wiggles madly anytime someone comes down from upstairs (we had to restrict his time upstairs, around this kids playroom and bedrooms, after the passing of the pointed Lego piece incident) and turns on his switch in the after school hours running like mad and causing mischief. He has a great sense of humor- stealing socks from the laundry room floor and making it to his safe spot, under the living room table, in 6 seconds or less. By the time you finish saying "Buster release" and walk towards him, he drops it at the absolute hardest place to reach and then stares at you with that "go ahead and reach for it, I dare you" look.

So, thank you again for trusting us with him! We are all in love.

Oh the Fun of a Cardboard Tube!

We never quite figured out if Buster was more entertained or more annoyed by Carl's trumpeting!

Oh the fun we had on Halloween...

Buster got to go trick or treating with all the cousins including "the other Buster" and Lola, two German Short Haired cousins. He did great dragging Steve the whole way to keep up with the bigger boy... "the other Buster".

A beautiful fall day and Buster's first romp in the leaves.
